Logistics Coordinator - Intern

The Logistics Coordinator tracks loads, updates customer websites, and schedule appointments using the McLeod Transportation Management System. The candidate will communicate effectively with both internal and external customers via written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with customers to schedule appointments for load pick-up and deliveries, communicating via phone or email, and using the internet to confirm and book the scheduled load.
  • Enters appointments in the scheduling system, once appointments are confirmed.
  • Builds effective partnerships with internal teams to offer and provide exceptional, seamless customer service.
  • Tracking and Tracing shipments.
  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  • Ensure timely movement and delivery of freight to customers
  • Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
  • Backup coverage for CSR as needed

Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.

  • Previous experience with LME/McLeod a plus

Accounts Receivable Collections Clerk

  • Generate invoices and send them to customers through various channels (mail, email, etc.)
  • Review and evaluate the status of customer accounts
  • Daily collection activities including making and receiving collection inquiries both via email and telephone
  • Communicating with past due customers to resolve outstanding balances as necessary
  • Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
  • Serving as the point person for customer and internal cross-functional inquiries and requests around billing and collection issues

Freight Billing Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • The primary focus of this position is freight bill data entry, using the NMFC guide and customer tariffs to classify and rate bills
  • Determining rate adherence and accuracy, accessorial billing, detention, verification of load data to invoicing
  • Daily communication with drivers to insure all load activity has been received- i.e. lumpers, late fees, layover, etc.
  • Communication and quick follow up is essential in ensuring quick payment of all invoices by our customers
  • Assist with process improvement and efficiency, quality, excellence, customer service (internal and external) and our culture
  • Communicate to management any issues that would affect the business
  • Work to maintain optimum efficiency through process, questions and reconfirmation
  • Work with rating software, computing rates, EDI transmission
  • Various other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a transportation environment

The Accountant will be responsible for performing specialized accounting work required to maintain the company’s general ledger. Working under the direction of the Controller, the Accountant’s work includes ensuring accurate recording of cash, expenditures, and revenues of the company. Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations
