Company Earns Top 20 Position Among the Nation’s Fastest-Growing Logistics & Transportation Providers

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – August 23, 2021 – Network Transport is pleased to announce the company has been recognized as a member of the 2021 Inc. 5000 List. Compiled by Inc. Magazine for the past 40 years, the prestigious Inc. 5000 features an annual ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Network Transport, in submitting results to Inc. for the first time, earned a position in the top 15 percent among private companies within all industries, ranking 619th on this year’s Inc. 5000 List.
To be considered for the Inc. 5000, a privately-owned company must meet specific criteria regarding overall revenue growth during a three-year reporting period. The companies included on this year’s Inc. 5000 list must have started earning revenue by March 31, 2016. Revenues in 2016 had to be no less than $100,000, and the company’s revenue totals in 2019 could not be less than $2 million. In addition to being privately owned, the companies considered for the Inc. 5000 must be based in the United States.

Founded in 2016 by trucking industry veterans David Ferguson and Ben Gordon, Network Transport has grown into a cutting-edge transportation and logistics provider, generating more than $40 million in revenue in the company’s first three years and charting a revenue growth rate within the Inc. 5000 rankings of 777 percent during the 2021 list’s measurement period of 2016-2019.

Network Transport, which became part of the Soar Transportation Group in July of 2020, is headquartered in Chattanooga with satellite offices in Dallas and Salt Lake City. The majority of the company’s staff, which now totals more than 60 transportation professionals, work in the home office becoming a major contributor to the reputation of Chattanooga as a logistics hotbed.

When this year’s Inc. 5000 was officially released on August 17, the Chattanooga area placed a total of 13 companies on the 2021 list. Network Transport earned the top spot among the seven transportation and logistics companies on the Inc. 5000. In addition, the performance of Network Transport during the Inc. 5000 measurement period for the 2021 earned the company the No. 3 ranking among Chattanooga companies from all industries and the No. 12 ranking within the state of Tennessee for all companies making this year’s list. Within the Inc. 5000’s national rankings for the transportation and logistics segment, Network Transport earned the No. 18 place on that breakout list.
